18th CENTURY CALLIGRAPHY SAMPLE. Circa 1752, American. The name “Elianor Wilson” centered within a hand drawn rectangular plaque with demilune ends, floral decorated. Two putti are centered above the delicate calligraphy decoration surrounding the name. At the base of the plaque is written in script “John Curry/Scrip./Anno/1752″. Paper mounted on paper mounted within a later frame under glass. SIZE: Sight: 9″ x 14”. CONDITION: Calligraphy remains clear and intact. Paper around edges with creases, tears and losses.
