ANTIQUE IVORY EROTIC NETSUKE & ANOTHER. 1) Unusual form of boat shaped with removable lid revealing a man and woman in nude embrace with a small man lying at end of boat which when cover is in place he does not see the couple. The boats cover in simulated straw weave, bottom of boat with carved and black decorated water. Unsigned and presently having a red cord with two-face ivory slide. 19th Century. 2) Antique ivory netsuke showing a man and woman embracing next to a sleeping animal with horns. The underneath showing the underside of the animal as well as the feet of the couple. 19th Century. Two of the finest netsukes that we have ever seen! SIZE: 1) 3-1/4″ l x 1″ w. 2) 1-1/4″ sq. CONDITION: 1) An old, very small chip at end of boat otherwise very good with nice patina. 2) Very good with nice patina. 9-97934 (1,500-2,500)
