The sisters are identified on a hand written paper attached to the case cover as follows: “Susan Decatur 1820-1873, Anna P. Decatur 1812-1896, Maria S.Decatur 1810-1879. The case top inside on embossed burgundy velvet “Brady’s Gallery, Broadway New York”. The leather case titled “Wolfert’s Roost” circa 1853 and illustrated as Plate 17 American Miniature Case Art by Rinhart. SIZE: Case: 6″ x 4-3/4″.
