FRENCH PROVINCIAL WALNUT FOUR-DOOR CUPBOARD. Late 18th/early 19th Century. The molded cornice projecting above the conforming rectangular case. Fitted with two pair of fielded panel molded cupboard doors on original iron hinges. The cupboard sides with an arrangement of five fielded panels. The whole on a molded plinth, raised on suppressed ball feet. The four cupboard doors within a picture molding frame. SIZE: 65″h x 50-1/2″w x 22-1/2″d (overall). PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: Structurally very good with small areas of professional restoration. Cornice and feet old, if not original. Hardware, lock and key original. Base molding in need of reinforcement. 9-21280 (2,500-3,500)
