FINE PAIR OF REGENCY STYLE INLAID WALNUT DISPLAY CABINETS. First half 20th century. Each benchmade example with dome top continuing to rectangular cabinet. Each fitted with a conforming astragal glazed door of geometric panels opening to an interior fitted with glass display shelves. The whole mounted with custom lighting. Additionally fitted with a pair of aligned short drawers beneath the door. Raised on square tapered legs terminating in marlborough feet. The front of the cabinet crossbanded and with contrasting string inlays. SIZE: 83-1/2″ h x 41″ w x 16″ d. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: Cabinets retain original polished surfaces. One door with two missing glass panels. Slight warping of veneers with minimal losses along door frames.
