18” FIRST SERIES ALMOND-EYED PORTRAIT. An extremely fine example of Jumeau’s Early Portrait Series!! This young lady has almond-eye cuts with bulbous, amber eyes and a hint of mauve eye shadow. Marked on rear of head on neck socket “2”. She has pale bisque and is on the proper Jumeau eight ball-jointed Portrait body. Wearing a cream print Bebe frock and covered by a antique blue wool cape with light blue crow’s foot embroidery at seams. CONDITION: Fine pale bisque with a few small chips to bisque on rear of head, right earring-hole pulled through. Composition body is in very good condition with wear mostly at joints. On inside rim of left eye tiny white flake present, but does not detract from the beauty of this doll. JL 1-2272 (10000-12000)
