PAIR OF DIMINUTIVE INLAID MAHOGANY DEMILUNE SIDE TABLES. First half of the 19th Century. Each figured mahogany and cross banded d-form top above a conforming frieze raised on four tapered legs headed by satinwood oval paterae, the borders string inlaid, each leg with a full length satinwood and string inlaid panel. SIZE: 28-1/2″ h x 21-3/4″ w x 13-1/4″ d. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: Very good overall. One table with some minor loss to cross banding on edge of top. Minor shrinkage cracks in bowed frieze. 9-21279 (1,500-2,500)
