ENGLISH HEPPLEWHITE INLAID MAHOGANY DEMILUNE GAMES TABLE. Circa 1800. The figural hinged demilune top with contrasting string inlays and crossbanded edges centering a fan inlay opening to a circular baise lined playing surface. The conforming frieze with rectangular figural panels bordered by contrasting stringing raised on four square tapered legs banded by wide cuffs. The two rear legs hinged to support top when open. SIZE: 29″ h x 36″ w x 18″ d. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: Professionally restored and repolished.
