EXCEPTIONAL LARGE SPLINT STORAGE BASKET. Second half 19th century, New England. Of rectangular form with curved ends fitted with large notched hickory handles. The sides tightly woven with narrow splint, the bottom with wide bands. SIZE: 18″ h x 41″ l x 24″ w. CONDITION: With small breaks in weave on one side, otherwise good with untouched surfaces and with mellow brown color. 9-26338 (900-1,200)
