GEORGE III INLAID MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS WITH BRUSHING SLIDE. (Late 18th Century) The rectangular cross-banded and string inlaid top with applied molded edge above the conforming case. fitted with a brushing slide over four graduated plum pudding long drawers with cockbeaded edges on a molded plinth with bracket feet and shaped apron. SIZE: 31-1/2″h x 36″w (case) 37-1/2″w (overall) x 21-1/2″d. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: Professionally restored and re-polished.
