Includes a 1711 agreement and a 1754 transcribed tax collection booklet for “Town & Country Tax, 1754 to Wm. Samuel Rice, one of the Constables of Town of Kittery within said county of York, Greetings…”. Rice was a successful business man who dies in 1851. He was the father of Mrs. Ichabod Goodwin, husband of which was Governor of New Hampshire for some years. Approximately 40+ documents and letters together with the tax book.
