UNUSUAL GERMAN CHARACTER HEAD MARKED 137. Possibly Hertl & Schwab or Kley & Han. This close-mouthed character boy with glass sleep eyes (eyes missing) has fly-away eyebrows and molded light brown hair. Head has a circumference of 10”. Factory original neck is cut off for use with either an automaton or cup and saucer type body. Neck opening is approximately 1-1/2” dia. Rear of head is marked “137 4”. CONDITION: Bisque is very fine with no apparent damage. JL 1-2345 (500-700)
