INTERESTING LOT OF CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. Lot includes 1) 15″ moss covered woven straw sleigh carrying a composition headed benevolent Santa. Sleigh also includes two miniature gift boxes with Victorian paper “scrap” covers. Sleigh is pulled by a cloth over wood reindeer with leather strappings. Figure has glass eyes and and lead antler (one antler missing). General soiling. 2) All celluloid Japanese Santa in sleigh pulled by two reindeer. 3) Very nice German composition Christmas Belsnickel candy container. Hand painted figure holds feather tree. Excellent condition. 4) A later standing Santa-wooden base. Composition body holding feather tree. 5) Two chenille decorated bells with composition images of Santa. 6) Jacob’s English biscuit tin showing Santa and children. 7) British Harvino toffee candy tin with lithographed images of Santa with sack of toys. SIZE: Sleigh and reindeer are 24″ l. PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine.
