IMPORTANT VICTORIAN GILT STERLING MONTEITH BY ROBERT GARRARD. 1852. The footed large bowl decorated with relief applied fruit clusters raised foliate & C-scrolls, the Ward family crest twice with monogram “AW”. The removable monteith conversion ring identically marked as the base. The ring decorated with clusters of fruit and pierced shell type decorations. WEIGHT: 82 tr. oz. SIZE: 12″ h. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: The bowl has been pushed down on one side into hollow top of base and in need of repair.
