ONE PAGE DOCUMENT SIGNED BY LOUIS XIV KING OF FRANCE. Written in old French and dated March 6, 1707 the letter refers to a proclamation involving the city of Lille. At this time, in 1707, Lille was in the midst of the War of Succession with Spain. Lille was conquered by the Dutch but became French, once and for all, in 1713 with the signing of the Treaty of Utrecht. SIZE: 14-1/2″ x 10″ CONDITION: The paper has been affixed to flexible plastic.
