ROBERT SALMON & EDWARD FENNELL SILVER KETTLE ON STAND. Circa late 18th/early 19th Century. The repousse kettle with the hallmark of Robert Salmon (1802-1803) having floral decoration overall with handle emitting dolphin heads. Center with Armorial crest headed by putti and birds. The hinged lid with a floral finial. The associated stand and burner with the hallmark of Edward Fennell (1777-1778) is pierce carved overall with scrolling grapevines amidst flying exotic birds and serpents beneath a pierced floral border. Raised on three molded cabriole legs in the form of dolphins joined to flat foliate feet. Total weight is 89 tr. oz. SIZE: Overall 15-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Kettle handle is missing insulator handle, small pin head dent beneath spout. Otherwise very good. 9-99010 (6,000-9,000)
