BOOKS FROM THE LIBRARY OF ICHABOD GOODWIN, FORMERLY GOVERNOR OF NEW HAMPSHIRE. Eight books in various degrees of completeness. Laid in is a CDV of Ichabod Goodwin and two letters (unexamined). Also included is a ship’s log book with dates beginning 1815. Locations include New Orleans, Liverpool, Charleston, and Portsmouth. Clearly legible throughout. A second “petty ledger” concerns itself, in part, with the Portsmouth Whaling Company. These entries are dated 1832. In Octavo, full leather (very dry) is an 1818 MASONICK MELODIES. Published in Boston by Luke Eastman. The text and musical notation very good with uniform time, toning and occasional foxing. CONDITION: As noted. 9-98696 (750-1,000)
