The cover having an engraved glued on title page “The European Pilot on fifteen sheets…Boston Printed & Sold by Wm Norman Book Seller & Stationer Price 6 dollars”. The book containing six charts which are attached to the binding as listed on the front cover and as follows: 1) A Chart of the North Sea from the Forelands to North Bergen…” by Captain James Thompson, Boston, Published and sold by J. Norman Engraver, originally Osgood Carleton (no date). 2) A Hydrographic Survey of the North and St. Georges Channel by Capt. Joseph Huddart in 1789, Boston, Published and sold by J. Norman, originally Osgood Carleton. 3) New chart of the Coast of Spain and Portugal from Cape Penas to the Streights of Gibraltar. Drawn chiefly from the observations of Mons. De Fleurieu, made by order of the French Government in the ship Isis in 1768 and 1769, Boston, published and sold by J. Norman, originally Osgood Carleton. 4)The New Chart of the Mediterranean Sea. London published, Boston republished and resold by W. Norman, book and chart seller (no date). 5) A Chart of the British Channel by Thomas Jefferys Geographer to the King with numerous improvements and emendations to the year 1788, Boston published and sold by J. Norman, originally Osgood Carleton. 6) New and Improved Mercator’s Chart of the Bay of Biscay made from a late survey taken by order of the national convention, London published, Boston republished Wm. Norman, book and chart seller (no date).
