EMILE ALBERT GRUPPE (American, 1896-1978) “MORNING CHORES”. Oil on artist board scene shows three men working on a large net which is being taken off a fishing boat. The men work on a large dock which the boat is moored to. Two other figures are seen on opposite dock, one in a small boat and other boats and buildings are seen in the harbor. The scene has the glow of morning sun and lifting fog. Signed lower right. Housed in a modern silver gilt wood frame. SIZE: 16″ x 20″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-91226 (8,000-12,000)
