ANTIQUE HIRES ROOT BEER DISPENSING COOLER. Wood and brass barrel shaped dispenser having a dispensing spigot on side and supported by three brass claw feet. The stained oak barrel having six brass supporting bands, central area having three diamond shaped red and gold trim advertising stating “Drink Hires It Is Pure”. Fitted wood cover on top and a fitted enamel reservoir on the interior. Brass plaque attached to side which indicates that it was loaned by the Charles E. Hires Co., Philadelphia, USA No. 13937. SIZE: 23″ h x 13″ dia at top. CONDITION: Generally very good, there is loss to decoration on side. 9-92205 (500-600)
