EARLY JAPANESE WATERCOLOR SCROLL. Watercolor on paper scroll in black against a white background shows a number of vignettes depicting various scenes involving people. The scenes include warriors on horseback, musicians, men with bows, men pulling a stone monument, a covered wagon and more. The scroll is signed with a nine figure vertical signature at left end. The right side is also signed on the outside with the addition of a large chop block. There is an old penned label “4 Pictures by the Tojo (?) Koka-Iu”. SIZE: Approximately 32 feet long. CONDITION: Generally good. 9-29930 (400-600)
