TWO MODERN GLASS SCULPTURES. Mid 20th century. The first, a block of Venetian glass, having three stylized angel fish swimming within polychrome filaments depicting sea grass, the fish encased within a clear block of bubbled glass. The second ,a block of chiseled blue-green glass with polished surfaces simulating an Arctic scene with icebergs depicting the head of a seal, head rising from the water. Affixed with original label marked “Kosta, Sweden”. SIZE: First 6 3/4″ h 12 1/2 ” l. Depth 3 1/4″. Second 6″h X 7 1/2″ w X 2 1/2″ Depth. CONDITION: The first in very good condition overall, no defects noted. The second with small clamshell fracture on top center front edge. Other small similar fractures on edges of back facets, may be part of the making of the piece. 9-91163 (200-400)
