F.CHOPIN (Russian, 20th Century)ARMED COSSACKS AT REST. Bronze figural group shows three men in full Cossack attire with guns at the ready. One stands, one sits and another lies down. A small fire has been built to heat a kettle which hangs from tripod. A dog rests against one of the soldiers. Signed in Cyrillic. Also “F. Chopin”. Greenish/brown patina mounted on a molded edge oval green mottled marble. SIZE: Overall is 7-1/2″ h x 13″ w x 10-1/2″ d. Bronze is 6″ h x 11″ w x 8-1/4″ d.
