*WINCHESTER MODEL 1890 CASE COLORED PUMP ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 22 short. Standard rifle with 24” tapered oct bbl, blued blade Rocky Mountain front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has nicely figured wood with tiny round ribbed forearm and straight stock with crescent steel buttplate. The receiver and buttplate are case colored. SN 77846. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 90-92% strong original blue with a couple of cleaned spots and two or three spots of light rust, the receiver retains 60-70% thin, faded case colors with the balance turned silver. Wood is sound with the forearm retaining 10-15% original varnish and the stock about 90% original varnish. The stock has an area of tiny scratches and prick marks along with other misc. handling and use marks. The buttplate retains traces of case colors, being mostly a silvery patina. Good bore dark in the grooves with moderate pitting. 4-49310 JR20 (2,250-2,750)
