The 13-1/2″ x 18-1/2″ engravings are corner glued to the matte and numbered “71” and pencil titled below. 1) Interior by L. Schultz. 2) “La Sainte Jormille Sous le Pommier” by W. Unger. 3) “A la Case de Duppe” by W. Unger. 4) “Logerment et Nowiriture” by W. Unger. 5) “Numantin” by Bottche. 6) “Idylle” by W. Unger. 7) “Nature Morte” by L. Gaubeal. 8) “Les Penitents” by W. Unger. 9) “La Marckande d’Evensails” by W. Woernle. Housed in an antique leather portfolio binder. Along with the portfolio is: 10) An unframed 18″ x 24″ engraving by James Smille after a painting by Thomas Cole titled “The Voyage of Life-Youth”. 11-13) Three 18-1/2″ x 24-1/2″ unframed engravings from destroyed engraving plates by three different artists. One by Hamilton Hamilton, another by Kruseman Van Elton and the third by Percy Moran. These three engravings have scratched plate marks and are stamped “I hereby guarantee this to be an impression from the destroyed original plate F.P. Kaiser, Publisher. Along with these three is a copy of a page from Kaiser, the publisher, discussing the sale of these three and limiting them to 250 copies. These three showing that the plate had been destroyed. CONDITION: 1-9) Generally very good. 10) 1-1/2” rip to top margin with some toning. 11-13) Stains, losses to edges, as found. 9-24184 (1,000-2,000)
