TADEUSZ RYBKOWSKI (Polish, 1848-1926) CRIMEAN SCENE OF TWO SOLDIERS WITH TROYKA. Very nicely rendered oil on panel, depicting a wounded Crimean soldier in a straw-lined litter drawn by a horse with Troyka, another soldier tends to him in the snow. Signed lower left, “TAD. RYBKOWSKI, 1877”. In original Eastlake-style frame with lovely gilt gesso design and black and gilt decorated liner. Retains old paper label on reverse. SIZE: 6-1/2”w x 4-1/2” h.
