TWO FINE SEVRES CABINET CUPS AND SAUCERS. Circa 1763-1766 and 1845-1846. The 18th century example with a turquoise blue ground with scrolling gilt borders centering cartouches of period port scenes, also decorated overall with gilt stippling. The second, a mid-19th century example, decorated in rich polychrome scrolling vinery and oak-leaf and berry branches intertwined with hunting dogs and other animals, interspaced with an armorial crest within diamond gilt border, the edges gilt-decorated, marked with two Sevres date marks, an overpainted Royal gold crown, and a wreath-and-crown emblem marked within “Chateau de F.Bleau”. SIZE: First: 3-1/4″ overall h. x 5-3/4″ saucer dia. Second: 2-1/2″ overall h. x 5-1/2″ saucer dia.
