LARGE KPM PLAQUE OF WOMAN, CHILD AND DOG. Back impress mark “KPM ”with scepter and incised X11. Also a script “KD 1077”. Interior scene showing a woman tending to the hair of a small boy who has a small dog resting up on his leg. The boy eats a piece of bread and there is an open window with blue and cloud sky. There is a small stool with a stick beside which may indicate that this is a runaway boy who has come to the attention of the caring woman. Housed in a fine period gesso decorated gilt frame. SIZE: 12-1/2″ x 10-1/2″. CONDITION: Very good, small imperfection on top edge which has been glazed over. 9-91246 (4,000-6,000)
