ATTRIBUTED TO ESTEBAN CHARTRAND (Cuban, 1840-1884) DEEP IN THE TROPICAL FOREST. Oil on canvas laid on board interior tropical woods scene shows a palm frond roofed shelter under large trees with a gentleman seated on a log next to a fire with boiling cauldron. His musket and game creel beside. Four men on mules/horses are seen leaving the encampment. Unsigned and unframed. SIZE: 25″ x 37-1/2″.
