18” SIMON & HALBIG 949 CHARACTER DOLL. A fine example of an early open mouth S&H on a kid body with bisque hands. This young lady has brown glass sleep eyes, two upper and one lower teeth and the trademark roll of fat under the chin. Marked on rear of head “S 9 H 949”, she would be a great addition to one’s collection. Wearing an antique velvet and silk dress, flowing brown human hair wig, and antique red leather shoes. CONDITION: Repair to lower right rim of doll’s eye. JL 1-2612 (300-500)
