*SPRINGFIELD M1922 M2 MILITARY TRAINING RIFLE. Cal. 22LR. M1 Rifle converted to M2 with bbl date 10-31. It has a 24-1/2” tapered round bbl with usual military front sight and stamped sheet metal sight cover and has a Lyman-48 receiver sight. It is in an early 1-pc stock with square bottom grip, grasping grooves, grooved bbl band with sling swivels and a checkered buttplate. Accompanied by one original 5 round magazine. SN 15097B. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl and receiver retain about 95% gray brown Parkerizing with some fine pitting on the receiver ring and over the chamber of bbl. The floorplate contains most of its original greenish Parkerizing and the trigger guard is a light patina. The bolt, which is mismatched, is polished bright with the shroud retains most of its original blue. Wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish with minor handling and use dings and scratches.
