FIVE FINE CARVED SHELL CAMEO BROOCHES. 1) Interesting Venice canal scene with sailboats and domed buildings. Wonderful coloration of white against cloudy amber sky. 2) Vertical oval with sailboat, people and castle in white against an opalescent sky. 3) Interesting carved man with whip over back shoulder in white against a light brown background. 4) Vertical oval of a horse’s head in white against an amber background. 5) Horizontal oval of a shepherd with sheep in landscape in white against a light brown background. All housed in gold metal frames; shepherd frame is marked “14kt” and remainder are unmarked. SIZE: 1-3/4″ x 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″ x 1-1/4″, 1-1/4″ x 1″, 1-1/4″ x 1″, 1″ x 1-1/4″ respectively.
