TABER SEARS (American, 1870-1950) “MORNING MIST ON THE NILE”. Wonderful watercolor with vivid colors shows three sailboats pulled up on sandy beach. Water and mountains beyond. Signed lower right “Taber Sears”. Original labels have been affixed to a replaced paper backing, one which is the artists studio card, other is an exhibit label from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts for the 27th Annual Philadelphia Watercolor Exhibition 1929 with title and artist name. Housed in an outstanding double carved and gilt frame with inset glass window. SIGHT SIZE: 13-1/2” x 17-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-93875 (2,000-3,000)
