FRANKLIN DULLIN BRISCOE (American, 1844-1903) MORNING LIGHT. Fine oil on canvas scene shows a harbor with sailboats and two boats having men and nets with sails down. A building is seen with men working around and seagulls fly above. A colorful sky is seen with bright yellow to pink horizon. Housed in a fancy gesso decorated period frame which appears to be its original having a recent artist tag “Frank D. Briscoe”. Stretcher has a “S. Johnston, Boston” label. Unsigned. SIZE: 18” x 26”.
