WWII JAPANESE SAMURAI SWORD. Issue sword with 27-1/2” slightly curved blade, wide fuller with serial number and flat tsuba. The handle is cast alloy painted brown with integral menuki. No temper line is visible. It is accompanied by a green-painted iron scabbard and belt with sword hangar. The bottom fitting has three proof marks; one is of four intertwining circles. SN 85618. CONDITION: Blade is bright with some scattered surface rust spotting. Handle retains 90% brown paint and scabbard 85% green paint. Belt is dry. 3-30037 JR534 (200-300)
