UNSIGNED (American, First half of the 20th Century) THE MAINE COAST. Fine unsigned oil on canvas scene of a rocky coastline dotted with Evergreen trees. A small cove is seen in foreground and a larger bay with land beyond or island is seen in background. All under a blue and white cloud sky. Very nicely done. Housed in what may be its original molded wood frame which has a Falcor framing label from New York City. SIZE: 25” x 34”. CONDITION: Surface dirt, craquelure, one old patch to reverse with corresponding inpainting. Small puncture and chip in sky. 9-72232 (2,000-2,500)
