AMERICAN CLASSICAL SHERATON STYLE CARVED MAHOGANY SOFA. First half 20th century. The barrel-turned, acanthus-carved crest rail above the rectangular back with shaped edges joined to the upholstered scrolled arms with carved cornucopia supports, each fitted with a bolster centering a rectangular cushion on conforming upholstered seat frame. The reeded rail raised on carved winged claw feet. SIZE: 33″ h. x 84″ l. CONDITION: Very nice original condition, the red silk brocade cover intact, some fading and paint splashes on back side of sofa. 9-91899 (1,500-2,500)
