MINIATURE ON IVORY PORTRAIT OF MARY J. MOORE. The unsigned shoulder length oval portrait shows a woman with wavy hair wearing a black and white dress with white collar and circle pin. Housed in its original gilt silver oval frame which is marked “B.B.& B”(Bailey, Banks & Biddle) “Phila.Silver”. The back of the case is inscribed “Mary j Moore 1896”. Housed in its original leather outer case which is velvet lined and has a back swing out easel type stand marked “The Bailey, Banks & Co Philadelphia”. SIZE: Ivory 3” x 2-1/4”.
