ERNEST FIENE (American, 1894-1966) “NEWTOWN CHURCH”. Oil on canvas scene shows large white New England church with green shutters and rooster weathervane. Stands amongst large trees. Signed lower right “E. Feine”. Housed in what appears to be its original silver gilt double frame. Pencil inscription on back of stretcher with title and artist’s name. Also date stamp January 21st, 1934. SIZE: 24” x 19-3/4”. Very good. CONDITION: 9-95052 (2,000-3,000)
