A PAIR OF CHINESE DECORATED VASES, A PAINTED AND DECORATED BOWL AND A ROSE MEDALLION PLATE. 19th century. Each polychrome decorated vase with painted leaf form panels, each containing a figure alternating with a floral border with pendant necklaces and creaturelike faces, the neck decorated with devices of learning. The earthenware bowl decorated overall in sepia tones of floral sprays, sprigs, and flowerheads and two roosters. The bowl signed on base rim. The single rose medallion plate decorated with a peacock. SIZE: Vases 9 1/2″ h. Bowl 8″ diameter. Plate 9″ diameter. CONDITION: Vases with repairs to both bases. The bowl with spider hairline on bottom and base rim chip. The plate with some glazing loss and rockwork. 9-91985 (150-250)
