FRANS PIETER TER MEULEN (Dutch 1843-1927) “SHEPHERD AND SHEEP”. Fine watercolor scene shows a shepherd letting out a small flock of sheep near a thatched roof farm. His sheep dog is keeping them in line. Signed bottom right “Ter Meulen”. Housed in its original gilt frame with gilt matte behind glass. On reverse is a “Doll & Richards Boston” label. Also a penned label “For the Boston Museum of Fine Arts from Mary and Fannie Kar _ _ _ (?) Shepherd & Sheep Ter Meulen”. SIZE: Sight: 15-3/4″ x 12″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-25294 (1,500-2,200)
