PENNSYLVANIA SHERATON PAINTED PINE SETTEE. Circa 1830. The triple chairback crest rail with shaped edges, retaining remnants of original paint decoration above four stiles divided by three spindle sections, the shaped arms with scrolled grips centering the shaped and scrolled plank seat raised on eight cylindrical tapered legs joined by a rectangular box stretcher, the whole in dark blue-green original paint highlighted with ochre outlines. SIZE: 35″ h. of back x 59″ overall l. CONDITION: Structurally very good, showing expected wear, painted surfaces original in need of restoration. 9-91662 (1,000-1,500)
