MAURICE GUIRAUD RIVIERE (French, 1881-) “NORDICA”. Spectacular bronze and ivory sculpture features Art Deco woman with bronze fur cape and dress open to the waist has ivory carved torso and head with upstretched arms. Feet are also done in ivory. Woman is flanked on each side with a polar bear with silvery bronze patina. Sculpture rests on a heavy white marble base and is signed on the base with etched signature “Guiraud Riviere Etling Paris”. SIZE: 26” w x 27” t.
