GYPSY AUTOMATON BY LAMBERT. An exquisite automaton with a bisque character head attributed to Jumeau depicting a gypsy with a tambourine and castanets in the other. When activated, she sways at the waist while her right hand shakes the tambourine, her left hand shakes the castanets & her head moves from side to side. Music box contained within plays two tunes. Wonderfully re-dressed in appropriate gypsy style! SIZE: 5” w x 5” d x 20” h. CONDITION: Wig has not been removed, but diligent inspection of head shows no apparent damage to bisque. Overall condition is generally excellent. JL 1-2782 (5000-7000)
