Panoramic view looking across the Penobscot River showing a large community on rising land with rural farmland beyond. The Daniel Webster sidewheeler is seen approaching the port area with five schooners and another sidewheeler in view. Title at bottom margin. Housed in a reproduction birdseye maple frame with hand watercolored rag board matte. SIZE: Actual: 18″ x 30″. Within matte: 17-3/4″ x 29-1/2″. PROVENANCE: From a fine southern Maine home. CONDITION: Examined out of frame. Hing mounted at top to matte, strong colors, muted foxing in sky and light toning. No tears or losses. 9-25113 (1,000-2,000)
