CHIPPENDALE CARVED FIGURED MAHOGANY AND PARCEL-GILT LOOKING GLASS. Third quarter 18th century. The rectangular plate within a leaftip gilt slip and molded surround beneath the scrolled crest centering a pierce-carved parcel-gilt displayed phoenix and scrolled pendant apron. SIZE: 33-1/2″ x 18″. CONDITION: Nice old surface with good patina, old repairs to scrolled ear lower right facing, crest, phoenix neck, and support. Old plate and backboard probably not original. 9-91913 (800-1,200)
