TWO DELFT PLATES, AN UNMARKED CHARGER AND A CONTINENTAL FAYENCE COVERED BOX . Third quarter 18th century. The first plate decorated with recumbent deer and butterfly, the second with a floral motif, the charger polychrome decorated with central pinwheel design. The rectangular container decorated with a farmhouse landscape, the ends with sea scrolled polychromed decoration, the corners canted. The sloping top fitted with an egg shaped lid pierced with ventilating holes. SIZE: Diameter of plates 9″. Diameter of charger 14″. Box 5″ h 8 1/2″l 6 3/4″w. CONDITION: Plates and charger with edge chips and glaze losses. The fayence box in very good condition overall with normal glazing and imperfections, lid is chipped. 9-91851 (300-500)
