JOHANN BERTHELSEN (American, 1883-1972) “CITY LIGHTS IN LAKE, CENTRAL PARK”. Pastel scene shows an impressionistic view of tall buildings at nighttime with lights reflecting in foreground water. Green trees are beyond the water. Signed lower right in pencil ‘Johann Berthelsen”. Information on back of frame indicates that it is from the Estate of the artist and is a view from Central Park of 59th St and 5th Ave. Housed in a partial gilt frame with ivory matte.
