AMERICAN SACK-BACK WINDSOR ARMCHAIR, BRANDED “R S MULFORD”, PROBABLY PHILADELPHIA. The bowed crest rail above seven spindles continuing through the mid-rail, the knuckle arms with volute grips above the wide molded and chamfered saddle seat raised on splayed baluster and ring-turned legs joined by a swelled and ring-turned H stretcher. SIZE: 36-1/2″ h. of back x 17-1/2″ h. of seat. CONDITION: Professionally restored and refinished with traces of old paint on underside of seat, seat with repaired splits. 9-91689 (1,000-1,500)
