INTERESTING AND FINE LION CARVED TRAY TOP MARQUETRY INLAID STAND. Inset top has marquetry picture of lion in landscape. Picture is done with exotic inlays including rosewood and birdseye maple. Shaped top with carved pierced lion head skirt on all four sides. Four corners are supported by a full carved lion head terminating in a scroll ending. Legs are supported by a shaped stretcher having a carved central finial. All resting on four carved animal paw feet. A double handled beveled glass removable tray top fits over inlaid picture. Inlay is of the quality of Herter Brothers. SIZE: 20” h x 27” w x 19” d. CONDITION: Very good. 9-94167 (1,500-2,500)
